Welcome to our kindergarten family. We are a diverse group of eager explorers. We speak six different languages, with many learning English this year. We come from many different places, but have so much in common.
We live in a small island community but are learning to be excellent global citizens.
We are very curious about the world around us. We love to work together to solve problems and learn new things. We know that hard work and perseverance will help us reach our goals.
My students have been learning about the world around them. We have been doing some experiments about the germs that grow on surfaces in our classroom. We have grown the germs in petri dishes. We examined and wrote about what we learned. Students were very curious to get a better look at the germs.
These budding scientists would love to have microscopes to get a better look at what we are learning about.
Students would like to be able to look at insects, pond water, skin and more. I really want to be able to continue to inspire this curiosity and encourage their questioning. Microscopes will help provide my students with the opportunity to explore and learn.
