My Project

My students are a diverse group of special and general education 6th-12th graders who are so excited for the chance to play a sport. So far volleyball is our only all girl competition team at the school and since we are only a year old we don’t have the funds to build a truly amazing program. We have been struggling with our current net system since it is not recreation (making it hard to host games, where the rest of the school and parents can cheer on the team) and unable to be moved. It forces the entire gym and all PE classes to shutdown or use our net for the entire season. Having more balls and a net we can move would allow us to move on to the next level with the rising bunch of female athletes.
