This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school strives to create well-rounded students who are able to compete in academics as well as athletics.

I am currently the head coach of the High school volleyball team where we work to develop our girls into the best people they can be.

I coach girls and boys of all different abilities and talents who come together to reach a common goal.

They range from 14-18 and all come from varying backgrounds. They all strives to be better every single day and will be great members of the community upon graduation!

My Project

As a developing volleyball program, we only have access to bare minimum equipment( net and volleyball ). While this has worked for couple of years, we are the point where in order to grow we are going to have present more specific challenges in order to grow more proficient athletes.

The donations of training volleyball equipment and travel backpacks would allow for my athletes to continue to develop into volleyball players that I know they can become.

The girls and boys on the volleyball team are tough, resilient, no quit attitude. Hungry to win.

My Project

Our team need the travel bags, after a full day of school the team need put, shoes, balls, water bottles, game socks, uniform, headphones, chargers, change of clothes, knee pad, brace, contact solution, snacks.

When we travel some of the girls or boys bring stuff in plastic bags specially when we go to tournament are usually competitive, stressful, and the days are usual long.

This travel bag will make the student athletes have a more higher self esteem. Specially going to tournament when team have everything from warmups, travel bags. Coming from the inner city were sport budget is less the 1% of the total budget is sad.

Having a travel backpack and having it ready the night before prior to a tournament or a game. The next morning the athletes shouldn’t be filled with anxiety that comes with wondering wether or not they forgot something important
