This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I kindly ask for voice recording buttons, that can be used in centers. The buttons record up to 30 seconds.

Imagine being at an alphabet center and hearing the teacher give you instructions or saying a cluster of letters and their sounds.

This is what I intend to do with these voice recorders. Students will have a center with a set of letters. My voice will guide them to the sounds they hear at that center.

These little voice recorders are like having a teacher in front of you helping you. It also calls for independence. In a world where there is so much technology in the classroom, I think we should bring it back to the basics. Yes, a child can use an iPad to hear the sounds, but then that same child can use that iPad for other purposes when the teacher is not looking. Do I want my 5-year-old to have all the screen time?

These little buttons are fun, it will be my voice on there helping my students learn.
