This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a group of outstanding but very diverse students, with varying backgrounds, skills, and talents. Almost half of them are socioeconomically disadvantaged. Like most students from low-income families, my students are also struggling to keep up with learning mathematics. These students are highly motivated and dedicated to their education, however, a lack of required materials and resources affects their academic success..

They come to school highly motivated and love to do activities and tasks that are engaging, challenging, and project-based which they can relate to in real life

My Project

The students I teach are mostly seniors, getting ready for College. All my students are eager to learn mathematics, however, it is difficult for them to hear everything I say with a mask on. Teachers spend a lot of time speaking to their students and need a hands-free microphone and voice amplifier.

A voice amplifier will amplify my voice so that it reaches the students that are seated at the back of the classroom.

A portable voice amplifier will not only help my students hear and understand me clearly but it will also save my voice. Currently, teaching with a mask on, these amplifiers will allow students to hear my voice much better than before. This will ensure that my message is communicated effectively and clearly to all students.
