Vocational Education Through Cricut

My Project

Students learn best when they are exposed to hands-on opportunities. The purpose of incorporating a Cricut machine work station in the library is to allow my students to explore technology by using a computer aided design while also creating activities that allows them to apply their knowledge of STEM projects (science, technology, engineering, and math) to complete a project. This also serves as a vocational training which is vital in preparing them for the workforce. Most importantly, it will help to facilitate and allow them to make a connection between their academic work to future realistic career pathways.

By donating to our project, you will not only help us provide a Cricut Work Station, but you will ultimately provide my students with the opportunity to build on their vocational skills and open a window of exploration and creativities.

Many valuable skills can be learned by using a Cricut Maker. The lessons using the Cricut Maker enable students to use technology in the classroom to design, cut, and press their own creations with a focus on entrepreneurship and developing business skills. These skills can be applied in school and as an adult. These skills are useful throughout all subjects and develops their creativity and can prepare them for a variety of careers.
