Vocabulary Journals

Help me give my students the opportunity to stay organized. My students already have heavy bookbags. I would like to provide each student with single subject notebook for vocabulary and journal entries and a place to keep them!

My Students

I love my kids! My students are 7th and 8th grade students enrolled in a high school credit Computer Science class! They will earn a full credit for high school upon completion of both section of my class. My students are hard workers and give me all that they have every single day. I have a variety of students from special ed to gifted and talented. My students come from various backgrounds that don’t often afford them the same opportunities as students in other, more affluent, areas of our town. I am hoping to help them gain access to their textbook through this project!

My Project

All of my students were given paper folders at the beginning of the year and they have not held up well. They poly cover notebooks are much more durable and will allow students to keep up with daily vocabulary in an organized manner. Students will be able to keep their classwork notebooks in the classroom so there will be no excuses! I think it is important for students to practice vocabulary words by speaking, hearing and writing them. All students learn differently but repetition helps! I would like to provide each student with a new notebook for the remainder of the school year!
