My Students

Is this Macbeth I see before me? My students memorizing speeches and modernizing Macbeth, but need to see how they deliver their lines and record their final project.

I have one hundred and thirty-five seniors that attend a 6A school in Oklahoma.

My students mostly come from a very low economic background. A large percent of them get their only meals at the school, and are living on their own. The school's population is very ethnically diverse. My students are very visual learners. Being able to see their work would help with their comprehension of the play.

My Project

A camcorder will greatly influence my kid's lives for the better by allowing them to see and hear themselves while they speak. Also by filming their production of Macbeth they will want to do their best and understand what Shakespeare was saying as well as what is going on in the story. A camcorder will give my students another tool to use as they prepare to graduate and go out into the world.

When my students graduate and go into the world, they will have to be able to speak in front of others.

A camcorder will allow them to see how they speak and show them how to correct their speeches and become a better speaker. Also by modernizing and filming Macbeth the students will be able gain a better understanding of Shakespeare's literature. This knowledge will better prepare them for what awaits them in college.
