This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are learning to comprehend texts. The technique I am trained in is Lindamood Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing. I am modeling and scaffolding student learning in the two reading classes I teach. We will need markers and colored pencils for drawing in order for them to illustrate their visualizations of the stories we read. This assists comprehension of text. Their reading levels are lower than their grade level and I aim to give them this valuable strategy to boost comprehension skills. They are adorable students who just need some strategies to pull their reading levels upward.
