Visual Learners With Autism Need Color Ink

My students need a black ink cartridge so our color printer will work again. We have an online curriculum but no technology to run it so we need to print it!

My Students

Having an intellectual disability coupled with autism makes living in a very stimulating world challenging. Couple this challenge with learning in a large (2,000+) urban high school and tasks and daily routines can seem rather daunting.

The students in our program all have a diagnosis of moderate to severe autism as well as intellectual disability.

All of my students receive free or reduced lunch. They come from hard working families that often go the extra mile to make sure their son or daughter has the basics they need. Young adults with autism learn best when they have lots of visual resources. My students all have sensory integration and visual learning needs.

My Project

By donating the ink cartridge you will make our color printer come back to life! You will ensure my students have access to curriculum and pictures that make learning come to life. Your gift will ensure my students can learn and make sure their teacher can spend money on other resources like materials for our science labs!

This project is so important because having a color printer is so crucial to running a program for visual learners.

While our dream is to one day have the technology to run a projector or everyone to have an iPad, your gift will enable my students to learn now and reach their goals.
