This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

COVID-19 and remote learning disrupted the educational experience profoundly. My students, like many, have felt the challenges of isolation and disconnection from hands-on learning. As we transition back to in-person classes, I seek your support to provide vital resources that will boost their academic progress and well-being.

I'm requesting 240 markers and a standing rolling whiteboard to create an interactive math learning environment.

These seemingly simple tools will play a significant role in revitalizing our classroom experience.

Our approach is straightforward yet impactful. Students will use markers to color code their contributions during group math activities on the whiteboard. This approach adds a visual and tactile dimension to their learning, making abstract concepts more accessible.

But it's not just about math. It's about restoring a sense of togetherness. After a year of remote learning, our students crave interaction and collaboration. These resources will foster camaraderie and shared achievement as they engage actively in group work.

In a post-COVID world, prioritizing students' holistic well-being is paramount. These requested resources directly enhance academic learning by making math engaging and accessible. Furthermore, they promote social and emotional recovery by rekindling the joy of learning together.
