This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are now facing a different hardship then before with Covid-19. We are in the process of switching from teaching in the classrooms and having the students come to school to be safe, to them having to learn virtually and at home.
My students challenge themselves everyday they walk into the school.
They need so much support to continue on a great pathway to success. With the support of the community, teachers and staff, we continue to do this for them. I work at a school were we have a very high transition rate with our students. Now that our students will not have the school building to report to, I want to be able to teaching them and encourage them the best way I can in these hard times.
My Project
These items will make a huge difference with teaching virtually. The headset alone will allow there to be noise reduction when teaching and allow for better communication because of the mic as well. Since I am a math teacher, one challenge is showing students how to do examples.
The Wacom will allow me to do this with more ease.
It gives me the ability to write and show what I am writing for my students are able to see it as well. This will help with doing one on one examples and teaching to the class.
The speakers will help when we get back into the classroom and virtually. It will help if I am not using the headphones to be able to hear them better and when back in the classroom for them to watch short clips and such.
