My Students
I teach in a mixed-ability 2nd grade classroom. We love to work collaboratively and learn through exploration. At our school, we definitely teach the whole child, inside and out!
My students are excited to learn, even during these uncertain times!
This excitement can be effectively directed through the use of simple, age-appropriate interactive materials. This year, more than ever before, my little learners will need their own sets of mini white boards, dry erase markers, and hands-on math tools.
These materials will help my sweet students literally take learning into their own hands, which is essential at this age.
My Project
Virtual learning can be a huge challenge, especially for younger elementary students. At this age, they need hands-on experiences. The white boards, Base 10 blocks, and abacuses ALL enhance their ability to learn remotely.
My 2nd graders will each receive their OWN toolkit to support and solidify at-home learning.
They can interact with the educational material rather than just click on or stare at a screen.
These interactive materials will ensure that my students learn in the most effective and developmentally appropriate way possible, while still having lots of fun!
