The materials that I am requesting help students learn to manage their emotions in the classroom. The fidget toys help them calm down when they are stressed or anxious. The Magna-Tiles foster cooperative play, which can lead to students learning to compromise. Specialized seating helps students manage their energy levels and give them a defined space to sit. The rug is part of a calm down area where they can regroup. My students are full of curiosity and enthusiasm, but often they get carried away by their emotions. I would like to provide tools to help them self-regulate those emotions.
