My Students

My students are all one year away from kindergarten. All of the children in the program I work for have been identified and selected because they demonstrate a developmental delay. Our program provides hands-on meaningful experiences that focus on students interest.

Our goal is to provide skills for them to be successful in life.

We provide an open-ended learning environment that allows for each child to follow their interest. We then support their learning while scaffolding each child individually.

My Project

Our students will use these materials for our 1 on 1 Zoom instruction to work on science, literacy, engineering and math skills while learning traditional fairy tales. This will help to foster an interactive learning experience for our students and their families.

We will also hold a virtual STEM night and our families will create various activities as a family and receive a book for participating.

This is a great way to help build classroom community while we are virtual.

Young children learn best by having hands on manipulatives. These items will help foster our goal of providing many hands on activities in our virtual curriculum.
