Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are some of the most tenacious that you will ever see! They love music and want to learn by any means possible. These 7th and 8th graders are so willing to try new things. This is really going to help us out as we navigate hybrid and online learning this year. I teach choir and piano, which will be very challenging to do online. To help continue our musical learning, I would love for each of my students to have materials that can be checked out from the school to bring home. This will also alleviate any fears about sharing materials.
My Project
Throughout this school year, my students are constantly in and out of the classroom due to mandatory quarantine from contact tracing. Thankfully, I've had very few students get sick but many are forced to learn virtually to ensure that the virus is not spreading through our school.
These workbooks and other materials with help my students to have all of the materials they need to learn regardless of if they are in the classroom or learning from home.
The workbooks will help them to continue class lessons from home and the ukulele strings and books will enable them to participate in class virtually with the materials they need to succeed!
