Virtual learning has not been easy on my students. Starting middle school is hard enough as it is, and distance learning is an extra barrier to success! Despite this, they all have worked so hard make the best of the situation and get their classwork done.
My Project
Having a premium subscriptions for Peardeck will allow me to create more engaging lessons, reviews, and assessments to use for distance learning. One of the most difficult aspects of virtual learning is keeping the students' attention. There are so many distractions! Youtube, Twitch.tv, Netflix, video games, taking a nap, oh my! Using Peardeck will allow me to "gamify" my virtual classroom, which means I'll be making learning fun! Kids learn the best and retain more when they do not even realize that they are learning. Peardeck allows students to draw, write, choose, or drag and drop their answers. It also gives me the ability to record audio for students that prefer read-along assignments.
