These materials will make a difference in my students' lives because it will give them the opportunity to focus on their classwork without worrying about how they are going to get their materials. Currently, everything I have is either begged or borrowed (or purchased with my own money). A lot of the materials we use for projects are consumables, like paper or glue. Sharing 5 glue sticks with over 30 students is frustrating for me and for them. They just want to learn! As a new teacher, these supplies are the fundamental building blocks of my classroom. If everyone has access to their own supplies we'll be able to focus on what's really important: science.
