Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Oh, my students..... They're self-motivated, attentive, and well behaved. No kidding. They realize how lucky they are to be here and each one shows so much promise and potential.
Several students have already come up to me after class saying, "I can tell I'm getting better at this," and "I'm already a better artist than when I started."
Yeah... tuck that away. That's what I take home with me.
Some of the students are oozing natural ability (it's ridiculous) and some are now realizing that creating art isn't just something that we, as humans, do naturally... It's also a skill that can be learned and developed. Even if they feel that they're not artistically gifted, they're starting to see that yes, it IS in there and it's my job to bring it out.
My Project
As our school moves to a virtual learning environment, students and teachers have to adapt quickly.
Art teachers are required to make high-quality instructional videos for their virtual classroom and we need your help.
The iPad accessories I'm requesting will allow me to set up a functional video production studio in my classroom. Virtual learners will be able to see and hear step-by-step demonstrations.
Many of my students are interested in creating art on their devices at home so I'm also requesting an Apple Pencil for digital art lessons.
