My Project

Thanks for considering donating to our program!

Currently, we operate both as an Esports program and a casual gaming club.

Our Esports program competes via PlayVS in association with MSAA. We have rosters in Chess, Fortnite, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Valorant. Last year, we had 24 students compete from home with their own equipment and without a consistent coaching staff. This year, I was hired as their coach, and we've invested funds so far in building them a gaming space that is inclusive, engaging, and fosters growth in game sense, mechanical skills, communication, and more. We have 6 high-end gaming PCs, 8 low-latency high refresh rate monitors, competition-grade keyboards and mice, and OEM Nintendo Switch docks and chargers. Controllers, headsets, and mouse mats were generously donated by industry-leading companies. With that said, our Esports team is well-equipped! We do need some power strips that can fit more, as the ones we're borrowing from IT aren't sufficient for our needs. Generally, where we're still lacking is ensuring that there is plenty of equipment for the gaming club to have access to when we are running practices after school, which is why we need more monitors. In addition, with limited headsets, we need speakers as our monitors do not have them built in. Our chairs are sufficient for the time being, but lacking ergonomics, and I want better for the students. Finally, we do not yet have AC in the room, and I'd love to have a mini fridge so that I can keep a case of water cold for the students at all times.
