My Project

My students have the energy and spirits to light up the room. They come from mostly low socioeconomic families who work hard for their children. In spite of the fact that we don't have all the fancy bells and whistles, the technology and innovative classrooms that other schools have my students appreciate what they do have, which is enthusiastic, caring educators, providing the knowledge and the techniques and life skills that they need with just the resources that we bring to the classroom every day.

However, completing activities on a plain loose leaf piece of paper can be a bore!

With a new printer in my classroom I can print activities that correspond to the lessons I teach. Activities that provide directions directly on the paper in front of them. Activities that provide pictures and examples to support my visual learners. Also, not to mention the ability to print in the moment. As daily instruction unfolds teachers need to provide different activities based on their observations of the diverse learners in the classroom.

With a printer in my room I can quickly revise and print a specific task which tailors to a specific individual need.

Not having any workbooks available to students has been challenging. Teachers in my school have to be creative and utilize whatever we do have access to. I have seen how printable activities affect my students work, levels of engagement and demeanor. My hope is that my students continue to grow as learners with the support of colorful and engaging printable activities!
