This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom services students who are amazing, upbeat and bright students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder.

My school is part of a Title I public elementary school and is located in an ethnically diverse, lower income neighborhood.

In collaboration with our exceptional parents, administration, teachers and support staff, great learning progress is being made daily on student goals. With your support, and generosity, my students at our elementary will be able to have the products they need to be successful at school.

My Project

Giving students the opportunity to be exposed to technology would give my students a new way to learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The Kindle Fire tablets will provide my students with a unique hands-on approach to learning how the world works and mathematics skills by utilizing technology. Students will be able to build critical-thinking, problem-solving and teamwork skills by utilizing applications on the Kindle Tablet about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). These Kindle Fire Tablets will also provide students with an opportunity to engage in social skills which will improve overall communication with others. The materials I'm requesting will also help facilitate individual students academic goals in specifically in Mathematics.

These donations will improve my classroom by allowing students to have the opportunity to be exposed and learn how to utilize technology in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The Kindle Fire tablet is thinner, lighter, and with longer battery life and an improved display and more durable than the latest iPad. It has a beautiful 7" IPS display with higher contrast and sharper text, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, and up to 8 hours of battery life with 8 GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for up to 256 GB of expandable storage. It also has built in Alexa for quick access to the information.

These hands-on tablets are exceptional for students who need additional technology tools to understand concepts. I truly believe my students will benefit tremendously academically and socially with these hands-on learning activities. My students will have brighter future by putting these tablets in the classroom. Also, giving them access and innovative learning through various applications will put them on the path to success.
