Our art department's initiative is CARE. We want to implement a care oriented art program making our world a better place with radical art filled actions. While students are not likely to have opportunity to attend many art centered community events on a regular basis, we want to bring the experience of art in action to our students.
We plan to create a small art vending machine filled with student created mini art sculptures using oven cured clay, words of care bracelets and pins, and small art masterpieces.
The vending machines will be placed outside of our art rooms in the commons area where students will be given access to the small acts of CARE through art. It is our hopes that students will find joy and whimsy in the small art gallery.
We look to continue building this art vending machine initiative in the coming year to begin using creative avenues and accessibility to art. While the supplies for oven bake clay, stickers, small masterpieces, wearable art and a small oven and stand will allow students the opportunity to make and curate an art collection.
