This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The theater program provides a safe space for many students. Currently, we have very limited space in our dressing rooms. We have limited shelving and clothes racks but nowhere to put on the stage makeup required for shows. Students currently resort to using folding tables and handheld mirrors. Having a space dedicated to makeup with large mirrors and appropriate lighting would not only be more convenient for students, but it would make them feel more professional.
Organizing our dressing rooms will allow students to focus on performance rather than worrying about where they will be able to get ready for the show.
Students will be able to enjoy performing instead of worrying whether they will have the space that they need to get ready. My students deserve to have an organized space to prepare for performances. With your help, we can make that happen!
