This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Reading out of the computer has been a challenge for my students especially reading out loud. My native speakers want to explore Spanish literature, but they do not engage so well when reading out of a computer. Los arboles mueren de pie is a drama and I love having students stand up and act out the play. It helps keep them engage and they have fun learning all the motions in Spanish. My goal for this project is having them want to keep reading in Spanish and be more diverse in Spanish literature as some of the best authors write in Spanish and my students have never heard of any of these authors. My students are special because they are eager to read and learn about Spanish literature, they just need someone who will lead them and support them into this new chapter.
