Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These are unprecedented and scary times for all of us, but imagine how our students and parents feel as a result of the school closures and now being a full day in class. As is, my preschool special needs students are having a difficult time adjusting to their new norm. My students are energetic and ready to learn every day they come to school.

My preschool students with special needs will utilize an enormous amount of hands-on, play-based materials to learn.

My students and I have embarked on a social distance learning journey in school! I am committed to continuing to provide my students with the necessary tools they will need in their educational journey.

My Project

Our way of teaching has changed due to COVID-19. We have to look for ways to reach our students daily continuously. This hard been so hard on my preschool special education students and their families. My students love having fun and learning at the same time. My students thrive with hands-on materials, and it helps foster their creativity. Celebrations are important I'm our classroom it gives us a sense of normalcy.

These materials will give them the magic of Friendship and promote Literacy at a young age, foster their minds, enhance their creativity and create things using their imagination.

Valentine's Day is approaching and I want to be able to have a little celebration for my kiddos and these materials will be just that. We will be having a small celebration in our classroom with goodies and games. These materials will be given as a gift for them with the heart shape glasses, slime to help with fine motor, a book to promote literacy and candy. Little things like this are captured and engraved forever in our memories and that is what I want for my students. Everything will be used and given on our Valentine's Day celebration help us make memories together
