My Project

Assistive technologies help my students with disabilities perform tasks and participate with their peers. Students will be able to read independently with text-to-speech translation and use speech-to-text to dictate sentences. Help me give my students four Scanmarker Reader OCR Reading Pens, an assistive tool for Dyslexia and Learning Difficulties that will support barriers and put systems in place to ensure equal access to opportunity!

Assistive technology (Scanmarker Readers, headphones, mouse, mouse pad, chew toys) can help create equity by providing students with learning differences the same educational opportunities as students without disabilities.

By removing barriers, students will be able to read a book independently, make connections and build background knowledge, and write complete sentences that may have been challenging without the use of assistive technology.

Leveling the playing field, my students will build self-confidence and gain independence while being engaged in their daily activities.
