My Students
My class consists of very determined, creative, curious, and intelligent first graders. Our school consists of a very diverse group of students. Over half of the students at our school are from low income families. My students work hard every day and strive to be the best in class even when life has thrown them many challenges inside and outside the classroom.
We want to be successful in this technological world of today..
The students in my classroom are working hard every day to become more prepared for their future.
My Project
Gone are the days of pencil and paper learning. My students need more ways to gather and retain information. They want to have hands on experiences and fun while building on the necessary skills they need for their futures. These materials will help us work independently as well as in small collaborative groups. This means we will learn how to work cooperatively with our peers while developing social, academic, and technological skills. This type of technology will allow my students to learn computer skills necessary in today's world. The Osmo games will also strengthen their phonemic awareness, number sense and word bui Learning through game play and working through fun lessons will allow them to build their knowledge in multiple subject areas while building critical thinking skills.
