Help me give my students the technology they need to succeed. My students need laptops so that they can better engage with the content and give me the data I need to better drive my instruction.

My Students

My students are a creative and energetic bunch of kids. They love to learn and develop their skills. I teach 2nd grade in my school and have 21 students. My students learn best in a small group environment and succeed best when they frequently revisit topics they have learned. My students love to answer questions during lessons. My students are strong in ELA skills and love to read around the room. My students are working on their Math ability and strive to improve their skills.

My Project

Through my years of teaching, I have found that the use of technology in the classroom helps engage student in the learning process and also gives you valuable data to better facilitate and integrate learning in the classroom. In the classroom, I use a program called Freckle that gives me valuable data on student performance. This program is also engaging for the students and they love to use it. Access to more computers would allow me to use this technology more frequently and therefore give me more accurate data on the students increasing my quality of instruction for each individual student.
