My students are eager to learn and enjoy coming to school each day. They are very active and energetic students. They love to be hands on, creative and active in their learning.
They live in a city in northern Vermont and come from diverse backgrounds.
We have different family structures and ethnicities represented in our classroom including students from Nepal, Bosnia, Croatia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, Tanzania and many other places. Students also come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, but that doesn't stop their love of learning. The students are happy to come to school each day and love to learn.
My Project
Have you ever done one of the escape room challenges that are all the rage? Well, my students have; and they are highly motivated by them. They are active and competitive students who love a challenge.
A big focus for us this year is teamwork and communication.
The BreakoutEDU classroom bundle will allow us to work on our studies and teamwork communication skills while having fun in an escape room like challenge.
The BreakoutEDU platform has hundreds of different challenges and re-programmable locks. The challenges cover all academic areas and allow students to put the skills they have been learning in math, reading, writing, science or social studies to work while having to communicate and work as a team. Not only will teamwork and communication be a large part of these challenges, but perseverance as well. These tasks are meant to be difficult, and my students have been practicing what to do when things are difficult in school and in life. Please help me give my students a unique experience that will have them highly engaged in their learning!
