We were also able to place additional meals and ingredients into our school food shelf for families to take as needed. We were able to make sure that 22 families got multiple treats in their vacation food boxes as well as putting out brownies, cake mixes and cookie mixes into our school food shelf. The smiles on kids faces when they saw there were dessert treats is the reason we work so hard to keep our food shelf stocked up. We overheard one student say they were excited because they knew they were going to get a birthday cake this year because of the food shelf. My class has been phenomenally helpful in helping to break down the stigma around the food shelf and helping to keep it organized and filled. Thank you again for all your help and support! This space has quickly become a calm, supportive environment where students can regulate their bodies, build emotional readiness, and access the tools they need to fully participate in their school day. For many of our students with autism, particularly those in the adaptive classroom program, this room has become an essential part of their daily routine. They begin each morning with sensory input that helps organize their minds and bodies, setting them up for greater focus, confidence, and success in the classroom. Throughout the day, the space also provides a safe place for students to take a break, re-center, and return to learning with renewed attention and emotional balance.\r\n\r\nThe benefits of this sensory space are already clear: improved self-regulation, increased engagement in learning, smoother transitions, and a noticeable rise in students' overall well-being. Teachers are seeing more sustained participation, fewer moments of dysregulation, and a stronger sense of independence as students learn to identify what they need and use the tools available to them. Most importantly, students feel seen, supported, and empowered because this space was created with their unique needs in mind.\r\n\r\nWe are profoundly grateful to the donor whose generosity made this possible. Your gift has transformed not only a physical space, but the daily experiences of countless students. Thank you for believing in the power of inclusive, responsive learning environments and for helping us build a school where every child can thrive. Your donation immediately gave our students the necessary resources for one of their most exciting projects of the year: researching and writing their own official state books!\r\n\r\nYour generosity truly provided the foundation for their learning. These students didn't just read the books you donated; they transformed them into a vital research library. They used the collection to dive deep into our state's history, geography, economy, and culture. Seeing them pour over the pages—learning how to cite sources, synthesize information, and develop expert knowledge—was inspiring.\r\n\r\nThe result was a remarkable set of student-authored books, filled with rich detail and genuine curiosity, all thanks to the quality of the resources you provided.
