The smiles on kids faces when they saw there were dessert treats is the reason we work so hard to keep our food shelf stocked up. We overheard one student say they were excited because they knew they were going to get a birthday cake this year because of the food shelf. My class has been phenomenally helpful in helping to break down the stigma around the food shelf and helping to keep it organized and filled. Thank you again for all your help and support! Some students have been able to help put together food boxes for the holidays as well and now we can send some extra food home for the December break when school lunch/breakfast isn't available.
