My Students

Our Learning Connections classroom contains a diverse group of students in kindergarten, first and second grades. Their interests, abilities, and goals are incredibly widespread, but we work to meet them each day. Some of my students are working on multiplication or telling time, while other students are working on learning to hold writing tools. These kiddos love to be active and as busy as possible.

In our class, we focus on how to meet each child where they are and get them involved in our classroom using meaningful activities.

Our larger school houses grades k-2 and when my students start to find success in our setting, they begin to try small chunks of the day with their typically developing peers. My classroom is about building self awareness, work skills, independence and social skills. We work to find ways for each student to meet success using their strengths and specific skills. Each student is different and deserves to have their abilities celebrated!

My Project

The use of technology is a growing necessity in todays classroom. Students need to be literate with all forms of technology, and digital learning opens doors for students with differing abilities. Students who struggle with processing oral language, delays in processing and any sensory input differences are able to learn in a lower stress environment when using technology. By having BrainPop, my students will be able to have a technology component added to each lesson they experience.

By donating to this project you will assist my students in becoming successful, comfortable and confident in their learning environment.

Students will be able to learn about topics in an in-depth, comprehensive way that BrainPop makes possible. All three grade levels will benefit from topics that relate directly to their current goals as well as their overall grade level needs.
