My Students

My students are so excited to start getting hands-on STEAM experiences in our new Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.

The students are curious and creative, imaginative and innovative.

I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.

My Project

Introducing kids to STEAM is an important aspect of learning. Art is a great way to incorporate science, technology, engineering and math.

The Ozobots are a great tool that can be used not only to teach more traditional block-based programming, but drawing and art can be used to code the robots as well.

The ozobots are incredibly versatile in how the students can use them, whether it be creating a drawing to represent a story they are reading, with the ozobot "acting" out certain aspects, creating mazes, solving puzzles. I am looking forward to using the robots to expand my students learning experiences.
