My Project
Art is a wonderful teaching tool. I want to teach my students how to settle their minds and use art and painting as a tool to help them think and to enhance their learning. This project includes acrylic paints, brushes, tracing paper and canvases to start our “Who Am I” project. Students will create a self portrait silhouette of themselves using the black paint. They will then create an essay discussing who they are, what they like, what moves them, etc. I want my students to think outside the box when it comes to art overlapping with English.
Art is a wonderful tool for students to incorporate into their assignments.
By reflecting on themselves, students will understand what makes them tick. This will help them self reflect and self regulate and become a better student.
