This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love taking pictures of the things they are working on in class and showing it to their families. Every day, all day, I hear "take a picture, can you send it to my mom?" I love this about them because it shows me that they are proud of the work they are doing and feel it has value. The problem I have though, is that I have to use my phone and the memory is maxed out! Besides that, I really would like to not be using my personal device to take class photos and email with parents.

Giving my students the ability to share what they are learning in class, with their families, and for me to have the ability to document their work, is very important.

I am asking for an iPad mini so that students can take pictures of their work and I can use it as documentation of their growth, as well as using it for assessment. I am also asking for an Apple Pen so that I can have students write on the iPad, and I can send samples to parents to document their work in writing. Finally, I am asking for a screen protector and keyboard case so that the device can stay protected with my little learners! Thanks so much for taking the time to read my proposal and for valuing Early Childhood Education!
