My Students

Our students come from a multitude of living , some live in cabins, campers.

Our students have severe and multiple disabilities in an economically disadvantaged area.

Having students in school as well as remotely has been such a learning curve. We share the same attitude as our students "WE CAN DO THIS".

My Project

Several of our students come from low-income families. Some of them live in campers. They don't have access to washing machines, detergent, and other cleaning supplies. We help our students and their families by teaching our students how to wash their own cloths. Our life skills class not only teaches them how to use a washer and dryer, but the importance of good hygiene. The students feel better about themselves, which leads to self confidence. This life skill is so important to our students, especially the older students that are learning how to obtain employment.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
