My Project

Our school library is a vital hub for learning and exploration, fostering a love of reading in our diverse student body. However, our current collection needs a refresh to better reflect the rich tapestry of cultures and experiences that make up our school community. We are launching a DonorsChoose campaign to purchase a selection of new books featuring diverse authors and stories.

Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds, and it is crucial that they see themselves and their experiences reflected in the books they read.

These new additions will not only broaden their understanding of the world but also foster a sense of belonging and validation. From stories celebrating different ethnicities and family structures to narratives highlighting unique perspectives and voices, these books will enrich their learning journey and spark meaningful conversations.
