Upper Body Strength with a Soft Landing

My students need a couple landing mats for the cargo net that was just installed.

My Students

My students are middle school physical education students and community education ages 10-14 with a 46% free and reduced lunch program. We have approximately 950 students in our physical education courses and approximately 500 students in our community education program.

We now have a cargo net in our gym.

We have this cargo net as another fun way to support upper body strength in our physical education program.

Now that we have the cargo net we need help in purchasing a landing mat so the students will be safe. Our 7th and 8th grade students have elected to take Physical Education to enhance their fitness and activity level and are involved in our before/after school programs.

The community education program is an after school program for students that runs a wide variety of activities and allows free/reduced rates to our low income families.

My Project

Having a new cargo net in our gym is a fun way to work on upper body strength.

Now we need a soft landing for our students when climbing.

We are always looking for different ways to increase our students fitness level. We now have a fun and different way to help them increase upper body strength, we just need a couple of soft landing mats to make it complete.
