Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our library is not just a place for checking out books! It can also be a vibrant learning environment that inspires and engages young minds. We’re designing a new and exciting space for PreK through 2nd grade students in our library. It is essential to consider their developmental needs. We will create an environment that will foster exploration, imagination, and comfort. Big Joe bean bags and big chairs will offer the children a relaxing environment to engage with their choice of reading material. This project provides versatile and practical solutions for creating a space that caters to the unique needs of our young readers. The students will be allowed to print resources to continue their learning beyond their books. Our children also need a cabinet to store their items when they visit the library. The Bluetooth speaker will round out this inviting space by playing soothing music.
