My Project

As a 7th-grade history teacher, I rely on digital tools to bring historical content to life while helping students build media literacy, presentation, and communication skills. The current classroom technology I have does not allow me to be mobile as I teach since it cannot connect to the classroom TV.

A reliable, updated teacher laptop will allow me to design engaging lessons, create multimedia presentations, and access digital resources that align with both history standards and our magnet focus.

Updated technology ensures lessons run smoothly and keeps instruction aligned with the real-world tools students are learning to use. A new MacBook will allow me to connect to the Class TV by using AirPlay. This will give me the ability to work around the room and assist students throughout the classroom. Further, updated technology will allow me to create engaging lessons in an effort to support the learning of all my students. A new MacBook will allow students to utilize new digital technology in their class presentations. This means that my students will be able to practice their communication skills through class presentations and utilize digital aids on our class screen.

A new device allows me to move around the room, engage more directly with students, and keep lessons dynamic rather than being tied to a desk. By supporting this project, you are helping students experience history through modern, engaging methods while building communication and media skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
