My Project

Our school is a Title I, minority-majority school that is located in south Oklahoma City. With seventh and eighth grades, our school serves a very diverse group of about 700 eager learners.

The materials in this grant will be used in lessons about flight and space where students will become engineers as they design, prototype, and test models to learn about the science of flight and what it takes to travel and live in space.

Through collaboration in hands-on projects, the exciting world of aerospace will come alive through the Flight and Space (FS) unit.They will solve real-world aviation and space challenges and plan a mission to Mars.

Our goal is to give students more knowledge and confidence in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in order to prepare them for careers in this digital age. Through the new hands-on activities/projects using the materials this grant will supply, our STEM students can be better prepared to be the capable employees in tomorrow’s workforce.
