Learning about transportation in PreK is one of the most engaging times of the year! Our dramatic play center is transformed into an airport. Having a pretend airplane control panel will allow the students to get into character and use new vocabulary words associated with pilots. We will discuss what to pack in a suitcase and what destinations we would like to fly to. The foam planes will be used outside for gross motor development as we run and chase the planes. The storage containers help me keep all the materials for learning centers organized.
These materials will generate so much excitement and engagement about airplanes and flying, which will lead to amazing conversations and vocabulary development.
