My pre-k students are four and five year old children, from low-income or English as a second language families. Our school is a public school, with a high percentage of our students qualifying for the free lunch program. Most of my students have never had the opportunity to paint, before coming to my class. Seeing the happiness in their faces as they experience this new method of creativity is such a joy for me to experience.
