My Students

I teach kindergarten in a diverse urban setting in the Philadelphia School District. I have 30 learners in my classroom, many of whom have never attended Pre K.

I teach at a Title I school where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students have not been exposed to education previous to entering my classroom. They all come to my classroom eager to learn, and it is my job to provide the foundation they need to be lifelong learners. This year we have been focusing on using technology in our classroom to help us across the curriculum.

My Project

My students come to Google Meets excited everyday ready to learn. I try to keep every subject interactive and engaging. It is very difficult to teach virtually from 8:30 to 3:00 without supplies. My school has been closed due to renovation and my students need a way to answer questions and take risk as they start their first experience in school. These whiteboards and markers will allow them to answer questions virtually while brainstorming and attempting to think outside the box. They need these materials to start their kindergarten experience and will use these materials daily to answer questions.
