Unlocking the Magic of Reading

Help me give my students brand new books that will help them unlock the code and magic of reading!

My Project

There is no better joy as a teacher than watching a student unlock the magic of reading. When we are able to provide our students with the skills, tools and strategies they need to decode words, we have the amazing opportunity to unlock a brand new world of adventure, characters and mystery.

I am looking to provide my students with brand new readers and stories that will allow them to individually practice the skills and strategies we are learning during our whole group instruction.

By donating to this project, you will be giving my students brand new books and passages where they can put into practice the decoding skills that they have been working on. The Science of Reading decodable books will allow my students the chance to practice reading independently both in our classroom and at home.

The National Geographic Readers will be a perfect opportunity for my students to have access to nonfiction texts that are at an appropriate level for them to read at independently.

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me the opportunity to continue to find and purchase decodable passages that my students can use to practice their decoding skills as new sound patterns are introduced.
