We built up the moment with a special \"unboxing ceremony\" where students gathered together, made predictions about what could be inside the boxes, and celebrated each new item as it was revealed. The excitement, curiosity, and smiles on their faces showed just how meaningful these materials were going to be for our classroom community.\r\n\r\nSince receiving these resources, students have been using them in so many creative ways during indoor recess, Fun Friday, and opportunities for collaborative learning. The building materials have encouraged students to design, problem-solve, and work together as they create structures and imaginative designs. The puzzles, games, and hands-on activities have given students opportunities to practice patience, perseverance, communication, and teamwork while having fun.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite things to see has been how students naturally cheer each other on, share ideas, and celebrate one another's creations. These materials have helped turn indoor recess and Fun Friday into a time where students are still learning, growing, and connecting with their classmates. They are building more than just towers and puzzles — they are building confidence, creativity, friendships, and a stronger classroom community.\r\n\r\nThank you to everyone who supported this project and helped bring these experiences to our first graders. Your generosity has created moments of joy, discovery, and meaningful play that our students will remember!","fullyFundedDate":1778288112064,"projectUrl":"project/building-creating-and-playing-indoor/10055959/","projectTitle":"Building, Creating, and Playing: Indoor Recess for Growing Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vander Pas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2986487_orig.jpg?crop=2016,2016,x866,y866&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1627326596918","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/j-vanderpas"},{"teacherId":6201793,"projectId":10008001,"letterContent":"Wow, our class loves all the new indoor recess toys and activities!
