Unlocking Possibilities Through Imaginative Play

Help me give my students imaginative play materials that encourage communication, social skills, problem-solving, independence, and confidence while giving children with severe autism meaningful opportunities to connect, explore, express themselves, and experience the joy of learning. Thank you!

My Project

As a first-year adaptive special education teacher, I want to create a classroom where every student feels safe, engaged, and successful. Many of my students have severe autism and learn best through hands-on, sensory-rich experiences. The sensory lights, tactile wall panel, Play-Doh, linking cubes, adaptive scissors, visual schedules, and literacy, math, and social-emotional learning games in this project will help students strengthen communication, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, academic readiness, and independence. These materials will transform everyday lessons into meaningful learning experiences while encouraging curiosity, confidence, and joyful exploration. Thank you for investing in my students and helping them reach their full potential.
