My Project

Our third-grade classroom requires essential tools to support students' learning and development, particularly in a high-poverty school where resources are limited. This project focuses on providing a laminating machine, laminating paper, and decodable books to enhance literacy and engagement.

A laminating machine and paper will allow me to create durable, reusable learning materials, such as flashcards, math games, and anchor charts, which can withstand daily use by young students.

These hands-on, interactive tools are especially important for reinforcing key concepts in a way that’s engaging for students with different learning styles. By laminating materials, I can ensure that resources last throughout the year and are available for future classes.

Decodable books are a critical part of this project as well. These books are designed to support early readers by focusing on phonics and helping students practice decoding skills, which are essential for building fluency and confidence in reading. Many of my students come from homes without access to books, and having a variety of decodable books in the classroom will provide them with the resources they need to succeed in literacy.
