This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is proud to support a diverse student body, including many newcomers learning English as an additional language through the Lexia English program. However, unlike other academic programs with established recognition systems, these multilingual students often lack formal acknowledgment of their progress. To address this issue, our project aims to celebrate each milestone our students achieve in learning English, which is crucial for their academic integration and personal growth.
I would appreciate your help funding special celebrations and rewards for our newcomer students as they pass each Lexia English learning program level.
By providing exclusive rewards, we can acknowledge their hard work and perseverance in mastering a new language and align their recognition with that of their peers in other programs.
