Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are Pre-K special needs students who are full of energy, love, and life. They are talkative, love to learn, build, and explore. They also enjoy dressing up and cooking in creative play.

Our children have a wide range of unique talents and abilities that highlight the unique individuals they are, from asking engaging questions to sharing their life experiences!

They are such a joy, and I love each of them. You will not be disappointed supporting this wonderful group of children.

My Project

We daily practice letter recognition and phonemic awareness during circle time and themed group learning time. We also work with students in small group or individually to strengthen these skills.

The Locks resources in this project are two fold, as they will not only reinforce literacy and math skills, but will strengthen the fine motor skills of my students, as they will need to use the key to unlock the correct letter or number.

Literacy: the students will match the uppercase letter with the lower case letter and match pictures to the word name. Math: my students will count the numbers on the lock and match it with the number on the key. The students will use these resources to practice individually during center time.
